My Dashboard Clip-Board

My New Idea To Keep Me Engaged:

Has Something Similar To This Ever Happened…You Just Came Out Of A Great Meeting and You Have A Newfound Outlook On Your Week…I Mean The Ideas Are FLOWING FIERCELY and The Notes That You’ve Taken Are Flooded With Groundbreaking Concepts. You Are Quite Possibly Going To Change The Entire Landscape Of The World This Week.  2 Hours Later You're Still Fired Up, 4 Hours Later There Is A Flame Lit, Later On In The Night There’s Some Semi-Warm Embers Hidden Beneath A Bed of Busyness and Life’s Distractions.  Within A Few Days You Can Barely Remember What You Had For Breakfast That Morning Let Alone Any Of The Key Concepts From A Few Days Prior.

So The Whole Remembering Things…Yeah It’s Not As Easy As It Seems. In Fact More Often Than Not…It’s Nearly Impossible! And I Have Found Myself Becoming Frustrated With My Forgetting The Groundbreaking Concepts That I Plan To Use To Rule The World.  A Key Component To Making Change In Anything Is ‘BEING CONSISTENT.’ This Is True In All Areas Of Life.  This Notion Has Been Personally In The Front Of My Mind Recently In Regards To Church Services On Sundays.  I Leave With A Bulletin Flooded With Notes Each Week. All Of Which Have Plenty Of Side Notations Of How I Can Apply The Teachings To A Variety Of Ways In My Life. Then, By The Next Sunday I Realize That I Never Fully Applied Last Week’s Teachings Like I Should Have…and The Process Repeats Itself…It’s Terrible, and It Had To Change If I Was Going To Make The Strides Of Progress That I Need To Making.

So I Made This Little Tool That I Call The “Door Handle Clipboard”:

I Originally Put It On My Dashboard But It Was Too Easy To Overlook, When Its Hanging From The Handle It Hits Me In The Leg As A Reminder When I Step In!

This Nifty Little Door Handle Clipboard Is Useless If Nothing Is Done With It.  So I Made It Instead To Put It To Use.  After Each Week’s Church Service I Place The New Bulletin On That Clipboard, and Then Every Single Time I Get Into My Truck (EVERY TIME NO MATTER WHAT) I Have To Re-Read, Review, and Ponder At Least ONE Point Within My Notes For That Week.  If I Have Time For More Or Can Add To Them Then I Will, But At The Very Least I Am Staying Present In The Teachings and In Doing So Taking It With Me Daily and Remaining Aware If Nothing Else.

I Would HIGHLY RECOMMEND That You Too Create Something Similar In Your Life…It Doesn't Have To Be Church Sermons and It Doesn't Have To Be In Your Car (Perhaps You Put It On Your Bathroom Sink, Nightstand, Fridge Door, Etc.)...But Every Time You Go Into That Thing…You Review It and Remain Present Within It.  This Is A GREAT Thing To Do With Your Weekly Goals Or Habits…Every Opportunity You Can Create To Be Made Aware Of Your Goals Will Help Guide Your Every Decision Each Day!

Go Get Your Creativity On and Create Your Own ‘Dashboard Clipboard’ (Share Your Creation With Me If You Want) and Then Go Get Your Remembering On This Week!
